Title: Head of US Sales / National Sales Director
This is a unique opportunity for a Sales leader to build a leading oncology sales organization in the US to support the launch of Fyarro, Aadi’s leading asset. Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer and working closely with global colleagues, the Head of US Sales / National Sales Director will be responsible for designing, building and leading a high-performing field sales team that will interface with key Fyarro treatment decision-makers. The Head of US Sales / National Sales Director will be focused on executing Fyarro’s commercial strategies, ensuring launch readiness and successful commercialization of Fyarro. The position would be responsible for overseeing Field Sales, Sales Operations & Sales Training for Fyarro’s launch indication and follow-on indications. This position will serve as a critical member of the Commercial Leadership and Global Launch teams. The role requires collaboration with Aadi’s Executive team and other commercial leaders across marketing, market access, pricing & reimbursement and market research.
Design a field team organization to support Aadi’s organizational and product needs by defining field team roles and responsibilities and aligning them to key territories
Execute a hiring plan for key roles and prepare the field organization for commercial launch
Lead and motivate sales team to execute a national sales strategy, support key initiatives, develop and execute on regional plans that target decision-makers and key stakeholders such as pathologists, oncologists, sarcoma specialists, hospital administrations and more
Set clear direction, communicate, train, inspire, hold team accountable and provide constructive feedback and coaching to maximize sales performance and results; develop sales operations initiatives that maximize field sales force effectiveness
Build a sales culture that connects/aligns the field sales team to Aadi while consistently delivering against Aadi patient care commitment and financial targets
Leverage expertise in clinical data, disease education, diagnostics, product information, selling skills and market trends to drive team performance
Develop Key Performance Indicators for sales organization with Executive Team buy-in and report on KPIs regularly
Work collaboratively with cross-functional colleagues (e.g. marketing, medical affairs, patient advocacy, clinical, regulatory, legal and market access) to develop and execute strategic plans to execute HCP engagement and patient finding initiatives, drive disease awareness and sales performance to launch Fyarro
Develop training capabilities for Fyarro launch and future indication expansions for sales force and other internal FTEs (e.g. MSLs).
Ensure systems, processes, and enabling technology are in place to support field execution
Apply a high degree of business acumen and utilize analytics to assess regional performance and potential
Design incentive compensation plans that are aligned and support attainment of Aadi’s goals, philosophy, values and goals
Ensure the compliant utilization of CRM tools by sales team and hold accountable for effective use
Foster an environment of compliance and integrity by managing and adhering to all company policies and Legal and Regulatory guidelines
Key Qualifications and Skills
BS/BA degree required; advanced degree a plus
10+ years of biopharma sales & marketing experience from a mix of mid-sized to large and small biopharma companies; experience with single-asset biopharma companies preferred
5+ years of experience in field sales leadership, with 3+ years of experience as a Regional Sales Director or Division Manager with direct reports; has a record of retaining top performers
Success building and maintaining strong customer/KOL relationships
Oncology commercial launch experience required (2+ successful launches); experience with specialty oncology or ultra-orphan indications preferred
Ability to demonstrate in-depth knowledge of global healthcare commercialization defining market issues & developing strategy
Demonstrated expertise in marketing products to diverse customer segments, including physician, payer, and consumer on both a country and regional level
Proven track record of performance via consistently meeting or exceeding financial and/or other quantitative targets and qualitative goals
Strong financial analysis skills with industry data related to sales, market share, price/volume, call activity, market research, etc.
Success leveraging market research data and communication of its results and application
Understanding of the R&D process and importance of integrating commercial and development strategy and plans
Successful record of achieving and maintaining compliance with all applicable regulatory, legal, and operational rules
Proficient with MS Office applications and experienced working with external vendors
Can build productive relationships with internal stakeholders and external stakeholders including KOLs and patient advocacy groups
History of success in matrix management of marketing and sales, market access, product development, manufacturing, clinical, regulatory affairs and marketing support colleagues
Trustworthy with high level of integrity, possesses an enterprise mindset; strong process skills, sense of urgency; results-oriented, professionally driven, self-starter; resourceful, decisive and proactive
